Overview

9.5 mile circular walk in Goyt valley starting at Derbyshire Bridge Car free car park, off main A 54 Buxton Road .

Meet at 10 am for a beautiful 9.5 mile circular walk that takes in views from Shining Torr, Errwood reservoir and Stakeside.   We will have coffee just before we climb up to Shining Tor and lunch at the shrine on our way towards Errwood.   No stiles for this moderate walk with a total ascent of 1682 feet ( from OS map app.).   A few moderate climbs that are not too steep.

Please bring packed lunch. Good paths most of the way but poles might be useful. Based on the reccy we should be back by 3.15 pm. Toilets were closed at the car park when I did the recce but might be open by June. Contact 07852497490 for further details
