A long riverside walk along both sides of the River Annan. The walk commences with a steep climb, through the woods, to the summit of Woodcockair. A descent of the other side of the hill through the woods finds a road leading to Brydekirk. Crossing the bridge we return along the path before crossing the Annan again. The walk skirts the golf course before crossing a footbridge for a loop up to Hoddom Mill. Returning over the footbridge we ascend to the castle (for a well-deserved ice cream) before heading to the car park.
Limited car parking so car sharing is advised. The woods are privately owned so route may be diverted if tree felling is taking place.
