Overview

A walk along the paths, tracks and lanes betwixt Overton and Oakley.  We leave Overton heading East towards Ashe, where we turn South to walk around Ashe Park before continuing East through Oakley Park.  Here, we turn North and then West, following undulating paths through the downs before turning South to return to Overton.

The going is generally good with only one or two damp patches where walking poles may assist.  We are likely to encounter livestock and will certainly come across a number of fields sown with oilseed rape.

Unfortunately, the bluebells in Burley Wood are likely to have gone over by the date of the walk.
