This 5.8 mile walk explores the attractive, undulating countryside north of Woolhampton. We start from outside Elstree School in Upper Woolhampton and follow paths across fields and through woodland via Midgham Green, Kiff Green and Copyhold Farm as far as the outskirts of Chapel Row, before heading through Ironmongers Copse and Greyfield Wood to Beenham Village, where we'll have a refreshment break on the green. From here we return via Beenham Church, Malthouse Farm and Upper Woolhampton Church.
There are three squeeze stiles near the beginning, and a further five squeeze stiles towards the end. Underfoot conditions could be muddy in places, but hopefully things will have dried out somewhat after all the winter rains.
Please bring refreshments for a mid-walk break. There is no limit on numbers, and there is no requirement to book a place on this walk.
Please park at the side of the wide road (Woolhampton Hill) as it passes Elstree School.
