Quarry Bank Mill - SHORT WALK

Quarry Bank Mill CP., Styal SK9 4LA 5.25 miles (8.4km) 10.00am

We meet at the entrance to the park in the free car park, walk down the hill to Styal Mill (toilets), over the River Bollin and take a short incline out of Quarry Bank (note the Spring flowers in the gardens on your right) past Bank House Farm and cross Altrincham Road. We cut through to Mobberley Road passing Moss Grove Farm into Morley Green where we take a loop through Newgate Nature Reserve coming out on Eccups Lane (coffee stop). We walk down Morley Green Road across a field to the Airport Inn where we link up with the Bollin Valley Way, walk parallel to the airport runway onto Altrincham Road past Norcliffe Hall back through Styal Village to the car park.

There are no stiles for this mostly flat walk, just one or two muddy patches, a couple of main roads to cross but a lot of the time on quiet lanes or good footpaths. Any queries text 07860 352626.
