10am start from the Ship Inn, Wincle. There’s no App for this. So come on down and join us, plus it’s April, so what could be better than the spectacular scenery that is Lud’s Church, the Hanging Stone and a cute Mill at the bottom of the hill, you can learn about the good ship ‘Nimrod’, and the connection to Shakleton’s first Antarctic expedition, to boot. Starting at The Ship Inn, it’s downhill to cross the bridge, head towards, but not getting to, Gradbach alongside the Dane, climb to drinks, yay! Next Luds Church, where some say it’s connected to Sir Gwain and the Green Knight, others, it’s named after Walter de Ludank, after that, along the ridge to Hanging Stone, down to Park House and the road. Pass Hannel to lunch, then towards Barleighford Bridge, and onward to Dumkins and Wincle Grange. If your groups walk is fully booked come and join us, don’t forget to bring a flask and packed lunch, we stop once for a drink and once more for lunch (bring a packed lunch), and set off at 10:00 a.m. with whoever has turned up - so don’t be late.
