We will walk through Trumpington Meadows following the old railway line to the river where we turn right into Byron Pool LNR. After walking through this Local Nature Reserve we will then proceed to Grantchester and walk through the small woods by the River Cam then cut across Grantchester Meadows to follow the path to Haslingfield. Just before Haslingfield we will go through a Millenium Wood to pick up the main path to Hauxton where we will walk the woodlands behind Hauxton Mill before walking though Trumpington Meadows back to our start point.
You will need to bring a packed lunch and enough refreshments to last the duration of the walk.
Trumpington Park and ride - usually this site has a Sunday Morning Market and will appear to be very busy. There is plenty of parking spaces to the left hand side of the site towards the M11. Meeting point is by the Bus Stops. After the walk there is the option to drive to the Lord Byron Inn which is close by.
