To start off their 146th season, the Newbury Symphony Orchestra will be playing a selection of music by Glinka, Wagner, and Prokofiev. This will be preceded by a pre-concert social at The Hatchet Inn for those who want to attend this before the concert. The organiser plans to get there by 17:15 if you’re interested in joining from then onwards.
After the social, the organiser plans to arrive at the church for around 19:00, so feel free to arrive from then onwards as long as you’re seated at the time of the concert. If you’re interested in attending, please show your interest via Meetup as well as purchasing a ticket either on the door or via Eventbrite at a cost of £15 per person.
The programme is as follows:
- Glinka. – Ruslan and Ludmilla Overture.
- Wagner. – Tristan and Isolde Prelude & Libestod.
- Prokofiev. – Extracts from Romeo and Juliet ballet suite.
N.B.: Just signing up on Meetup doesn’t guarantee you entry to the concert or this social. You’ll need to buy a ticket in order to enter the church.
