Overview

Over the August bank holiday weekend we will heading up to Northumberland to explore its beautiful coastline and rugged inland.

The Northumberland Coast National Landscape is an area of outstanding natural beauty with endless beaches and drifting dunes. Hopefully there will be plenty of opportunities during the weekend to make the most of the beautiful beaches.

🥾 Walks

All walks are weather dependant and will be confirmed closer to the time.

Rothbury: 6–8 miles, route to be confirmed

Craster to Seahouses: an 11 mile linear walk along the Northumberland Coastal Path / St Oswalds Way. Starting at the fishing village of Craster, we head north up the coastline back to Seahouses. On the way we pass the impressive remains of Dunstanburgh Castle as well as many beautiful bays and coastal villages.

Seahouses to Bamburgh: an 11 mile circular walk continuing along the Northumberland coastal path up to the village of Bamburgh with its impressive castle. The walk continues past Bamburgh into Budle Bay with views up to Lindisfarne. The walk follows the St Oswald’s way back to Seahouses.

Belford & St Cuthbert’s Cave: a 9 mile circular walk starting from the village of Belford and visiting St Cuthbert’s Cave.

🍔 Food

Arrangements for food will be confirmed closer to the weekend.
