Walsall Group of Ramblers has been around since 1992 and in that time we've introduced many people to the joys and benefits of walking with the Ramblers
The day will start with a 5 mile walk from the Coven Memorial Hall car park.
The usual light refreshments will be available from 12.30pm, please bring your own packed lunches.
The AGM will commence at 1.30pm. At the end of meeting there will be a break for refreshments followed by a talk given by Ned Williams on Railway Walks. It is expected that the day will finish about 4.00pm.
All officer posts are up for election, subject to appropriate nominations being received. We also have to elect three Individual Members’ Representatives and three Representatives from Affiliated Organisations. Nominations are welcome and can be made before and at the meeting.
Coven Memorial Hall, 64-68 Brewood Rd, Coven, Wolverhampton WV9 5DL Directions by car: Coven village is located approximately 3 miles south of the A5 and approximately 1 mile north of the M54. From M54 (Junction 2) North: take 2nd exit and continue to travel north along A449 signed to Penkridge/Stafford for approximately 1mile. At first roundabout take the 1st exit continuing to travel northwards on the A449, then at second roundabout take the 1st exit onto Brewood Road signed for Coven/Brewood. Everyone should now continue on Brewood Road and at roundabout take 2nd exit, passing CO-OP food store on left-hand side and Rainbow Inn on the right-hand side. Just after the junction with School Lane the Coven Memorial Hall should be on your right.
