Remember, Remember the 5th of November and join Stag Walkers to watch the fireworks!
The display takes place at one of our regular walk locations, the village of Ickleford just outside Hitchin.
Food and drink is available at the event.
As well as a spectacular fireworks display from Alchemy Fireworks, attractions include:

Booking your place
If you wish to attend, please let us know you’re coming via the Stag Walkers Meetup group by clicking the ‘Attend’ button on the event page, and buy your own tickets:
- £7 advance tickets/wristbands available online from the Ickleford Fireworks website or in person from Ickleford Stores, The Plume of Feathers pub or Ickleford Sports & Recreation Club.
- £12 on the gate (if still available on the night).
Please remember to edit your RSVP if you can no longer make it so we know not to wait for you.

Ickleford Sports & Recreation Ground, Chambers Lane, Ickleford, Hitchin SG5 3YA
Meeting point:
Chambers Lane / Upper Green, Ickleford SG5 3YD, near the bus shelter and village sign. We'll meet on the Green at 6.30pm then walk to the Recreation Ground a few minutes away.
Please note last entry to the event is at 7.00pm.
The display starts at 7.30pm.
Parking:
Please avoid parking on residential streets in the village.
There are 2 parking facilities for the event + disabled parking:
- Parking at the bottom of Old Hale Way, next to the old Bowmans Mill site, please follow signs.
- Parking behind Ickleford Stores (opposite the church).
- Disabled Parking at Ickleford School
Or walk from Hitchin!
Optional meeting point:
If you wish to walk to the display from Hitchin, meet outside Hitchin Railway Station, Walsworth Road, Hitchin SG4 9UL, at 5.40pm for a 2-mile walk to Ickleford. Meet at the Meeting Point between the ticket office and the car park (to your left if exiting the station). Parking at the station car park is £3.40 payable by APCOA Connect App.
Please answer when you RSVP on Meetup if you plan to meet us at the station.
The walking route will either be on pavement or on footpath if dry and clear weather - there'll be a full moon this evening but please bring a torch (preferably a head torch) in case the moon is covered by cloud.
After the fireworks display, we might visit one of Ickleford's pubs before walking back to Hitchin.

Terms of Entry:
- All children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times (18 years or above). No unaccompanied children will be allowed entry to this event. Accompanying adults require a ticket.
- Adults may be asked to present ID
- No animals are permitted at the event, with the exception of guide dogs.
- E-Tickets can be printed or displayed on your smart phone.
- No entry will be permitted after 19:30
- No food, glass or alcohol can be brought into the event.
- No sparklers or personal fireworks to be brought into the event
Please:
- DO NOT book onto an event unless you are pretty sure you will be able to make it.
- UPDATE YOUR RSVP. We understand ‘life happens’ so if you need to change your RSVP please do this at least 24 hours before the event and before booking closes to enable someone else to take your place.
- DON’T NO-SHOW on the day unless it is absolutely unavoidable (we do understand ‘life happens’) because it prevents others from enjoying an event if it is fully booked.
- *TAKE NOTE that if you no-show three times, without extenuating circumstances, we will decline further bookings from you for a period of six weeks.*
- DO car-share or use public transport if possible. To offer a lift or ask for one from a fellow walker, please use the Meetup event page.
- FOLLOW NHS guidelines and do not attend the event if you are unwell.
About the organisers
Stag Walkers is a Ramblers group aimed mainly at people in their 20s and 30s but all are welcome and we have members of all ages. We run weekly walks, on Saturdays or Sundays, varying in length from around 5 to 15 miles, and we host regular social nights. Walks and socials generally take place across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and south Cambridgeshire.
