JOINT WALK WITH MAD WALKERS. ALSO OPEN TO THE PUBLIC VIA THE 'WE INVENTED THE WEEKEND FESTIVAL'
This easy, step-free afternoon ‘walk for all’ forms part of the exciting ‘We Invented the
Weekend Walk’ festival taking place at MediaCityUK on the weekend of 3 and 4 June.
The level, circular route includes an easy section of GM Ringway – Greater Manchester’s walking trail - as well as other local paths.
Highlights of the walk, which is also suitable for new or returning walkers, wheelchair-users and families with children, include:
– Virtually all of the Salford Quays waterfront
– The green oasis of Ordsall Park
– The modern architecture of Imperial War Museum North and MediaCity UK
– Ordsall Hall, a Tudor manor house and gardens in the heart of Salford.

Meet Point: MediaCityUK tram stop.
Suggested Ticket: Metrolink Zones 1-2 Travelcard £4.30 or a Travelcard for any zones required;
combined tram, train and/or bus tickets can also be purchased from Metrolink or train stations or on
the bus.
Walk Start: MediaCityUK tram stop at 14:00.
Waypoints: Erie Basin, The Lowry, Ontario Basin, Ordsall Park, Ordsall Hall, Manchester Ship Canal,
Clipper Quay, Old Trafford Bridge, Imperial War Museum North.
Return Services: Trams to the city centre every 12 minutes.
Extra: Toilets en route at the Lowry and at the Imperial War Museum North.
