Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Manchester Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the Walk Start at Buxton station.

Transport to Walk Start: 09:20 train from Manchester Piccadilly

Suggested Ticket: Off Peak Day Return to Buxton £13.90

Walk Start: Buxton Railway Station at 10:30

Waypoints: Pavillion Gardens, Cavendish Golf Club, Watford Wood, Beet Wood, Wild Moor, Errwood Reservoir, Goyt's Lane, Fernilee Reservoir, Goyt Valley, Taxal, Whaley Bridge

Return Services: From Whaley Bridge - 16:02, 16:30, 17:02, 17:31 etc

Extra: Please use the toilet on the train. Toilets at Buxton railway station.  There are no toilets en-route. Optional drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs)

We start by walking though the historic town of Buxton and the lovely Pavillion Gardens, before heading up-hill through Cavendish golf course and making our way out onto the open moor.

A short stop at the abandoned tunnel entrance of the Cromford and High Peak Railway and then making our way across the moorland. We then walk along both banks of Errwood and Fernilee Reservoirs before heading uphill again to the church at Taxal, and on to the finish at Whaley Bridge.

Some moorland walking with muddy paths, steep steps, May be slippy. Wear appropriate footwear and clothing
