This walk is timed to arrive at about 13.00 at the venue of the Greater Manchester Area Ramblers Annual General Meeting, the Cross Street Chapel. You can leave us there or come to the meeting, which will be followed by social drinks at around 15.00.  It is a largely urban walk taking in short stretches of canal, quiet roads, parks and riverside walkways. It will mostly be on hard surfaces but there may be stretches of grass, mud and leaves. There is a climb up multiple steps to cross the so-called Lowry Footbridge towards the end of the walk, this can be missed out if anyone is struggling.
