We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
An 11 mile circular walk from the Gratton Recreational Ground in Sutton Scotney. We follow the River Dever towards Micheldever along paths and quiet lanes before our coffee stop at Micheldever Church. After coffee we head south over high farm land where there are far reaching views to the north and south, we then join the ancient Alresford Drove and continue on sections of The Watercress Way back to Sutton Scotney.
A lovely varied walk which is still relatively dry underfoot. It follows tracks, quiet lanes and field paths. Some of the paths are muddy and slippery and I was glad to use poles in places, but nothing to get your toes wet. Two stiles (one broken).
This is a picnic walk please bring drinks and snacks.

The entrance to The Gratton Rec in Sutton Scotney is on the A30 directly opposite the Texaco Petrol Station.
