We are the South Dorset Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting from Symondsbury the walk takes us up to Golden Cap, then on to Chardown and Hardown followed by a genteel return via a nicely refurbished Venn's Farm. There are a couple of tricky bits at the start, so bring poles if you use them. A lumpy meadow, (goodness knows what/who created them!) then a short but very sharp up to the start of Eype Down. If the conditions are bad then I will change that bit of the route on the day. Let's hope for a bright day, the views are fantastic.
It is a moderate walk but strenuous in parts.
Picnic, no dogs.
