This year we are celebrating the first anniversary of our new walking and hiking group for people in their 20s-30s.
In this joint walk shared with our main TBR group we will follow the Angidy Trail, discovering Tintern's hidden industry - furnace, forge and wireworks, workers' cottages and limekilns, a tidal dock and the remains of St Mary's church, ruined by fire in 1977.
The walk start time is designed to provide time for users of public transport to take a train from Cardiff to Chepstow, and pick up a no 69 bus to Monmouth which will pass through Tintern in time to join our walk.
Attendee's should come prepared for the weather on the day, and will need to bring drink and snacks for rest breaks. There are no toilet facilities or opportunities to purchase refreshments during the walk.
Tiger Bay Ramblers welcomes everyone on its walks and this year we are celebrating the first anniversary of our new walking and hiking group for people in their 20s-30s, based in South Wales.
If you are under 40 years of age and looking to have fun, get fit, and meet a welcoming bunch of people, then this will be the ideal group for you!
If you are interested in joining our 20s-30s group for younger people but are not available to join this walk, please contact secretary@tigerbayramblers.org.uk to register your interest.
Potential members are welcome to attend any three walks with Tiger Bay Ramblers before deciding if they would like to join.
