Tiger Bay Ramblers welcomes everyone on its walks and in 2025 we are launching a new walking and hiking group for people in their 20s-30s, for younger people based in South Wales. If you are under 40 years of age and looking to have fun, get fit, and meet a welcoming bunch of people, then this will be the ideal group for you!
In this joint walk with our main TBR group our route will explore a different perspective of Cardiff Bay. The walk will begin and end in Roald Dahl Plaza which is the location of the Cardiff Food and Drink Festival taking place in the Bay over this weekend.
The area around Roald Dahl Plaza is likely to be busy with people visiting the Food Festival, but our walk will soon leave the busy-ness behind. A walk around Roath Basin, Cardiff Bay Wetlands and Hamadryad Park, takes us into Silurian Park and along part of the dock feeder canal network before bringing us to Bute East Dock, from where we will return to the Bay.
After the walk, we will explore the Food and Drink Festival and enjoy some refreshments.
Attendee's should come prepared for the weather on the day. The walk will take place on good quality paths and pavements, and will cross local roads. Dogs are welcome if well behaved and kept under close control by their owners.
If you are interested in joining our new new walking group for younger people but are not available for this walk, please contact secretarytigerbayramblers.org.uk to register your interest.
