This is a circular walk starting from the centre of Upham and covering an area to the North, as far as Greenhill Lane. There are some expansive views on route, and varied terrain, with several wooded parts. There are two stiles and some ups and downs (not surprisingly around Upham), but only one incline that is a bit steep. Poles will be helpful if you use them. There was no seriously muddy ground on the recce, and most paths were firm.
This walk is not suitable for dogs.
The Brushmaker’s pub will be open from 10.00, to take your food orders. You will be able to use the pub's toilet facilities. We expect to arrive back at the pub for a well earned drink and meal around 12.45 to 1pm.
Please let the leader know if you plan to come and if you would like to eat so she can give the pub an idea of numbers. Please use the email link for this purpose.
There is no parking at the pub. Parking is mainly in Church St near the pond, or there is plenty of space at Upham recreation ground (the other end of Shoe Lane), SO32 1JL.
