This circular walk is an old favourite, tweaked slightly to try to keep it to less than 9 miles.
Starting from the main car park in Micheldever Wood we will avoid the main track and instead take lesser used routes to reach the north of the forest and cross into Dodsley Wood before turning west alongside arable fields to eventually cross under the M3 and head by way of the ‘Coffin Road’ to the pub in Micheldever village.
After lunch we will return to the north of Micheldever Wood and take an even less-used route to return to the car park.
The morning is about 6 miles and the afternoon is less than 3. There are no stiles, no significant hills, but given the recent weather almost certainly some mud! If you usually use walking poles it would be a good idea to bring them.
There will be a morning coffee stop, please bring whatever refreshments you require.
If you wish to join this walk please notify the leader by way of the email link above. We will start the walk as soon as all expected walkers have arrived.
If you wish to eat at the pub you will need to pre-order through the leader by the evening of Tuesday 5th March. Please contact the leader for details. (Menu not available until 1st March!).
