A fairly easy walk in the Itchen Valley from near Easton to Tichborne and back.
The walk takes in part of the famous Grey-Roosevelt walk (see https://www.hants.gov.uk/thingstodo/countryside/walking/greyroosevelt) and the leader will provide further information about this on the day.
The return is via a different route.
We meet in the small car park between Easton and Avington. From there we head west before crossing the river, then proceed east to Itchen Stoke and Ovington. We then cross the A31 before heading south east to the small village of Tichborne where we will have our picnic lunch.
The terrain is likely to be muddy in places so please wear appropriate footware. Walking poles may be useful.
Please bring plenty of water, a mid morning snack and a picnic lunch.
Please let the leader know in advance that you'll be joining us as we will leave when everyone is present.
