We are the East Cheshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
PLEASE NOTE THIS WALK REPLACES THE ORIGINAL POYNTON WALK AS THE ROAD TO JACKSONS BRICKWORKS IS CLOSED FROM 18th - 21st DECEMEMBER.
From the National Trust car park at Alderley Edge we walk to Beacon Lodge, crossing the B5087 and then down through Windmill Woods. From there we walk across the fields to rejoin the B5087 before turning left on to Woodbrook Road and back onto NT land passing the Wizard’s Well and Castle Rock where we will stop for coffee. From there we will walk to Stormy Point, on to Adders Moss Farm, Finlow Hill, Bradford lane and Artists Lane before returning through Windmill Woods back to Beacon Lodge and the National Trust carpark.
We will have a ‘coffee stop’ about 11am.

National Trust Car Park, Alderley Edge The car park costs £8.00 for the day but is free for National Trust members. There are toilets and a café which walkers may wish to visit at the end of the walk. Free parking is available in the layby at Beacon Lodge.
