We are the East Cheshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Great views on this varied 9.5 miles/15.25kms walk with canals and high tracks. This is a moderate walk with 1271 feet/387m of ascent (OS app). There are a couple of steeper climbs and one fallen tree to get round (alternative route is possible).
From Sutton, we go past Sutton Reservoir to the canal and then up towards Croker Hill. From the Hill of Rossenclowes, we head down towards Langley, past Langley Hall and over to Macclesfield Golf Club before rejoining the canal going back towards Sutton.
The route: Sutton - Sutton Reservoir - Macclesfield Canal - Oakgrove - Hill of Rossenclowes - Foxbank Farm - Ridge Hall Farm - Langley - Langley Hall - Macclesfield Golf Club - Macclesfield Canal - Sutton Hall - Sutton.
This is a mixture of paths, tracks, lanes and towpaths. Some muddy stretches. Poles and gaiters advised. Bring lunch and snacks. No dogs due to livestock in fields.

Meet 10.00am at Sutton Lane Ends (corner of Hall Lane and Walker Lane. No car park, but street parking is available in the village in the side streets.
