Overview

Starting from the green in Alfriston , this ascends gently uphill to the Downs and then returns via High and Over, Frog Firle and the river to Alfriston. Gentle but fairly long ascents and descents. Be aware that Alfriston can flood so this walk may need to be changed or adapted, please check on the day. Also the river paths can be muddy. Toilets at the start and end. It is possible to access this walk by bus 125 from Lewes but this is tricky. The walk has spectacular views on a clear day. Dogs on a lead welcome. BYO coffee break. If new to the group, please bring emergency contact details.
