From the margins of Pontarddulais, a steady rise soon has us atop the high level ridge of Cefn Drum. From Twr Maggie, we survey the majestic Loughor Estuary backdropped by the Gower, before traversing the ridge to the head of the Camffrwd Valley. Striding out onto Graig Fawr, we follow both St. Illtyds's Walk as well as the Heart of Wales Line Trail with further views back up the Loughor Valley to the Black Mountain. Now descending, bracken-strewn slopes welcome us back to Pontarddulais and our awaiting cars.

Much firm ground but can be marshy in places. Occasional steep slopes, so walking poles and boots recommended.
