Message from Chris & Jenny Mitton
We propose to offer a series of Sunday 'ambles', which may be of interest to those Ramblers who have enjoyed walking with the group over many years, love being outdoors, who still wish to maintain and sustain the friendships and mutual support of our local club, but who find that for whatever reason, the regular rambles are now too much for them.
So, the Amblers will offer walks which are shorter (up to 5 miles), less strenous (ie flattish), and, above all, slower-paced than traditional rambles.
This is an easy amble of about 5 miles, starting and finishing in the pleasant village of Alrewas. We walk alongside the Trent & Mersey Canal to Fradley Junction, where we will stop for coffee at the Canalside Cafe (or BYO). We join the path alongside the Coventry Canal, then along country lanes and fields back to Alrewas. There are two stiles, both in good order.
Guests please contact the walk leader if you would like to join this walk.
We are sorry, but only assistance dogs are permitted on our walks.
