This is an undulating circular walk from Apperley Bridge which is on the boundary of Bradford and Leeds. We will walk on paths through woodland (expect mud), old lanes, wide tree-lined streets and a narrow riverside path.
Sturdy footwear is recommended - parts of the route are very rough underfoot and it will be muddy.
Note: There will be occasional short rest stops for drinks/snacks throughout but there will be no lunch break during the walk.
Optional Meal
A reservation has been made at The George & Dragon pub (Vintage Inn) in Apperley Bridge for a meal after the walk at 2pm. Advance booking for the meal is required - please contact the walk leader to book your place. A pre-order may be required (this will be confirmed by the walk leader on booking). This page will be updated if/when all the places are filled.
Everyone is welcome to go for drinks at the pub after the walk.
Booking is not required if you would just like to join us for the walk.
The free public car park we are meeting in is immediately on the right as you drive in to the entrance to the Woodhouse Grove School, opposite the car wash. If the car park is full on your arrival, you may find roadside parking on the opposite side of the road, behind the car wash.
The meeting point is a short walk from Apperley Bridge train station.
The meeting point is on the A2 flyer bus route.
