The Beachy Head Ramblers opens the way for everyone to enjoy walking the downs, clifftops, and wealdways of our area.
I've lead Ramblers walks before, but as this is the first time I'm leading a walk for the Beachy Head Group I intend to keep it very simple. As I'm new to the area, I expect that most of you will be more familiar with my chosen route than I am. So please bear with me! We start from Buckle Car Park and circle Seaford in a clockwise direction. First we walk north through Bishopstone and Norton, then east following tracks and field paths. Continuing to turn right we cross Alfriston Road and then Eastbourne Road to follow Chyngton Lane to South Hill Barn. We then head towards Cuckmere Haven but veer right to Hope Bottom then right again to follow the cliff path to Seaford Head and back along the front passing the Martello Tower to our start.

There are toilets at Buckle Car Park, at South Hill Barn and Martello Tower and cafes at South Hill Barn and Martello Tower. There is an opportunity for a shorter walk (about 5 miles) by catching a 12 or 12A (not 12X) from where the route crosses Eastbourne Road back to the Hill Rise stop.
Buckle Car Park, Marine Parade, Seaford. The start can be reached by buses 12 and 12A (not 12X) alighting at Hill Rise bus stop, or rail from Bishopstone station.
