Overview

A circular walk around the view points of Blackdown including the Temple of the Winds. The paths are sandy with some stones, but little mud. No stiles. Some up and down, but nothing too steep.

Blackdown at 918ft is the highest point in Sussex and the South Downs National Park. Tennyson’s Lane is named after the poet who lived here at Aldworth House and liked to take long walks over Blackdown.

NT Blackdown Additional CP on Tennyson's Lane . From Haslemere go past the first NT CP on the R and down the hill 300m to where Tennyson's Lane has a hairpin bend to the L. There is a drive to Aldworth House on the bend. There is a dirt track to the R which leads to the CP.
