Overview

A figure of 8 walk starting/finishing at the main CP. The morning is 7 miles with 1200 ft ascent, the afternoon 5 miles 1100 ft ascent. After a warm up along the old A3, the route dips into the Bowl before a steep ascent to Highcomb, descend to Highcomb Bottom, then Sugarloaf Hill & Gibbet Hill across the top of the tunnel. Returning to the main NT cafe area for a lunch stop. The second half follows the Greensand Way to Gibbet Hill, then Creedhole Farm, High Button. Following through to Hurthill Copse, Keffold’s Copse, Coombe Head, Polecat Valley & Tyndalls Estate. Lots of ascents & descents.
