This walk will take us from Vicar Water up along an escarpment above Clipstone and back down through King's Clipstone to the park. Coffee stop along the way. Back in the park, we will pause at the golden hand ( a sculpture not a pub!) for a picnic lunch then walk alongside the lake back to the car park. There is a cafe here for a final refreshment. Interesting features such as the Clipstone Headstocks and Kings John's palace en route.
Dog friendly but there is one nasty short stretch of road walking where they would need to be kept very close otherwise good tracks.
Toilets in car park at start/ end.
As ever, at this time of year, please check for any changes due to inclement weather.
Please register for this walk on Newark Ramblers website where you will also find details of our car share scheme.
