We are the City of Birmingham Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Morning walk 4.75 miles, flat, no stiles. This walk follows the Arrow Valley park from the Redditch Needle Museum. Following trails and footpaths the route goes South to the Valley Lake. After a circuit of the lake we can enjoy a coffee stop at the cafe, before returning north through the country park and a visit to the Bordesley Abbey ruins. Afternoon walk-3-4 miles. This walk follows a green way through Churchill and on to Beoley Church, and up the hill for views before returning via the golf course. Lunch at The Beefeater, Bordesley Lane, Redditch, B97 6AQ.

Our Wednesday walks include a lunchtime pub stop. Requirements for meals from the pub menu are usually requested and ordered before the start of the walk by the leader. Walkers who prefer to take a picnic lunch are welcome to do so and the leader will have a place designated for this somewhere near the pub, in the village, or in the area where we are stopping for lunch. JOINING INSTRUCTIONS: Public Transport: Train 9.15 am New Street Station, arrives Redditch 9.53 am. Walk to Redditch Bus station (1 minute), Catch bus no. 58 to Meadow Hill Crescent, every 10 minutes. Walk leader will meet train travellers at Redditch Station. Car: Park at Beefeater, Bordesley Lane, Redditch B97 6AQ or in carpark for Bordesley Abbey.
