Overview

From Ashford in the Water north to Great Longstone via Churchdale Hall. We continue northwards along Moor Lane before crossing Longstone Moor and onto Wardlow. We descend into CressbrookDale and head south to cross the River Wye over the newly constructed bridge at Cressbrook Mill and join the Monsal Trail. We follow the trail eastwards crossing the iconic Headstone Viaduct before a steepish ascent to Monsal Head then follow field paths back to Ashford. Total ascent 1200ft (Outdoor Active).
