Old Glossop- Higher Shelf Stones Circular

This is a lovely moorland walk with extensive views 8 miles 510 metre of Height gain.
The climb is very gradual and all morning, up to lunch.

We will walk over Shelf moor and go past the remains of the B29 bomber that crashed in 1948, killing 13 US airmen.

We head north over Bleaklow head and west over a part of the Pennine Way to Clough Edge, then SW past the Grouse Butts and back to the start.
Bring packed lunch and a snack

No dogs please as there are nesting birds.
