We are the East Hertfordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Tracks and paths on arable chalk downs from Ashwell via Caldecote and Hinxworth and taking in the historic Ashwell Springs which is a series of freshwater springs, forming a source for the River Cam, and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. We begin with a steady climb with long views to the north.
Refreshments available at The Three Tuns pub in the High Street, Ashwell, plus there is a cafe and other pubs in the village.
Meet outside the Three Tuns PH in the High Street, close to the Post Office and The Springs at the east end of the village. Please park considerately in the village.
