Overview

This is a 6.4 mile, leisurely walk using footpaths, fields, canal and roads. Leaving the Edgerton Arms pub car park we cross the A34 to Bent Lane and left through the kissing gate to Child’s Lane and onto Brownlow Heath Lane and Brook Lane and Chance Hall Lane.  A left turn through fields and onto A34 takes us to Little Moreton Hall and across more fields until we join the Macclesfield canal. At the bridge over Oak Lane we leave the canal and following the road to Watery Lane we take a footpath on our right to Glebe Farm, across Peel Lane and back to the pub.

This is NOT a pub walk but anyone wishing to eat/drink at the pub after the walk will be most welcome.

Please make sure you have an ICE (in Case of Emergency) card on you when out walking – you know it makes sense - if you don’t have one then ask the walk leader for one before the walk starts.

On our walks, we regret no dogs please UNLESS the walk is described as DOG FRIENDLY.
