We are the Bristol Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a leisurely 5 mile walk and will start outside the Town Hall in the centre of Axbridge.
It will be a circular walk with great views of the reservoir and the nearby Mendips.
The walk is mainly flat with a few stiles.
Bristol Water have closed the footpath around the reservoir to stop people swimming in the lake.
We will be taking a modified route to avoid the closure.
Please note the forecast is currently very hot, so don't forget to bring sunscreen, hat and plenty of water.

This is a leisurely 5 mile walk and will start outside the Town Hall in the centre of Axbridge (BS26 2AR), with a prompt 10.00am start. OS Map: 141 Parking: Axbridge Town car park, which is a few minutes walk from the village centre, appears to be free, and is entered from Old Church Road. Alternatively, driving in from the A371, the road starts as Cheddar Road, then becomes Jubilee Road - there is on street parking here or on one of the residential side roads, subject of course to any local parking restrictions.
