Exploring the Woodland Park and Grasslands created in the last 30 years from what was the largest spoil tip in Europe from the 3 coal mines in the area, Bargoed, Britannia and Gilfach. St Sannan's Church, Bedwellte, medieval in origin, sits high above Aberbargoed giving spectacular views across to Bargoed and Gelligaer common. Descending to Bargoed and Gilfach Fargoed, looking out for various sculptures to follow the Rhymney river back to Pengam.
Walk starts and finishes at Pengam Rail station (10.30).
