Overview

The walk from Machen will take us through Draethen and on to Ruperra Castle. From there we will go on to Michaelston y Fedw, where we will have lunch in the grounds of the ancient St. Michael's church. On the return the walk stays close to the River Rhymney all the way back to Machen.

There are lovely views across to the hills above Machen, Rudry and Caerphilly from many points along the walk.
