Overview

An easy 7 mile walk starting from the Bull's Head pub, Barston, heading west up the Blythe river valley on lanes and paths passing under the M42 motorway to join the Grand Union Canal towpath at Copt Heath Wharf. We then continue for about 3 miles going south east, then east on field paths to cross the River Blythe, then return to the Grand Union Canal and back to Barston.

Meet at Wyndley Swimming Pool 09:15 for car sharing. Directions to the Bull's Head pub, Barston B92 0JU: take your preferred route to Stonebridge Roundabout, junction of A452 and A45 (suggest either Chester Road A452 to join M6 at Castle Bromwich to A446 at M6 junction 4 or via A446 through Dunton Island. Follow A452 south from Stonebridge to the second roundabout to turn right into Bradnock's Marsh Lane. After about a mile, turn right at the offset junction into Barston Lane. The Bull's Head PH is on the right past the church in Barston
