A varied, moderate figure-of-eight walk of around 8.5 miles, starting in the small village of Bednall. We follow the Staffordshire Way on tracks and field paths, then through the Bednall Belt Plantation, leaving the Staffordshire Way to walk through pleasant woodland in the direction of Brocton. We then walk across fields to the attractive village of Acton Trussell for a lakeside lunch stop.
Leaving the village, we make our way along a section of the Worcestershire & Staffordshire Canal towpath as far as Parkgate Lock. Rejoining the Staffordshire Way, we walk alongside the Teddesley Park Estate, then along lanes to Bednall. There may be sightings of deer at different points along the route. There are about a dozen stiles.
Guests please contact the walk leader if you would like to join this walk.
We are sorry, but only assistance dogs are permitted on our walks.
