Pentland View Car Park, off Lanark Road West in Currie. Leaving carpark at 09:15 to drive to Beecraigs visitors centre. Travel to Beecraigs Country Park : Go down Riccarton Mains Road, straight on to the A71 and turn left towards Livingston. Go north on the A899 at the Lizzie Brice Roundabout. Straight on through 2 roundabouts and then in the left lane A899 at the third roundabout where you turn left for Dechmont. When just into Dechmont turn right signed ‘Beecraigs Country Park 4 miles,’ this is a narrow road to Linlithgow so drive carefully. 2½ miles further on there is a sign for Ochiltree on the right - continue around the left bend. [At this bend on your return journey, ensure that you go towards Dechmont and not to Ochiltree!] Follow more signs for Beecraigs Country Park, eventually turning left then right into the car park opposite the Visitors Centre (toilets there). [Note for the return journey, when at a roundabout near the M8, go towards Livingston for return via the A71 towards Edinburgh].
