We are the Strathkelvin Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Very strenuous circular walk starting at Ardvorlich House on the banks of Loch Earn, parking at the side of the road, on the banks of Loch Earn
Ascending Ben Vorlich via rocky tourist path, some scrambling nearer to summit, then descending onto a flatter moorland before ascending again up to Ben Our. Walking poles and gaiters advised as some areas of moorland boggy in places and some deep potholes, faint paths
After reaching the top of Ben Our we descend back down steep moorland, no clear paths, just faint tracks, again ground underfoot boggy with some awkward points, eventually reaching back onto the lower end tourist track, leading back to Ardvorlich House and the banks of Loch Earn
Allow 6/7 hrs for the full walk
Carshare available from Southbank carpark, Kirkintilloch opposite the police station . Inform leader if transport required Cars leaving carpark 07.30hrs
