We are the Brighton and Hove Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A circular walk north of Berwick Station, via Selmeston, Ripe, Chiddingly and Upper Dicker. Mostly flat and level, with churches and some stretches on the Vanguard and Weald Ways. Fine views of the distant downland. A break for lunch at Chiddingly. Some of the footpaths are little used so may be a bit unkempt and overgrown in places.
Public transport to the start of the walk from Brighton Station (catch the 09:58 from Brighton Station), or meet at Berwick station.
If you can, please RSVP to this walk via our Meetup site. This will give the walk leader a rough idea of how many people may be attending. If you are a paid up member of the Ramblers organisation, you can ignore any waitlist you may find yourself on.
We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers. The walk starts at 10.30 am from Berwick Station (south side car park). If travelling by train from Brighton, catch the 9.58 train which arrives at 10.23. Return trains from Berwick are at 57 minutes past the hour. BN26 6TA
