We are the Brighton and Hove Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A hilly but beautiful downland walk. We start near the Waterhall entrance and head uphill. We continue along the ridge before dropping down to just above Seddlescombe. We then climb steeply up before dropping down to Pyecombe where we will stop for coffee at farm shop, before going through Pyecombe. We then follow the South Downs Way for a short time before heading off to the Chattri for lunch and then descending along good paths and open access land to the start. We cross two footbridges over the A23. There are lots of cows on this walk so assistance dogs only please. There are toilets at the farm shop and at Pyecombe Church
There is limited parking to the right of Waterhall entrance where the walk will start. The main car park is to the left and then it’s a 5 minute downhill walk to the start. Bus routes 5 and 5b serve Patcham village and it is a short 10 minute walk to the start.
