We following the Sandstone Trail for approx. 6 miles over the Bickerton Hills, passing Hether Wood, Maiden Castle, Mad Allen & Musket Hole, Raw Head where after a lunch stop we will be pausing for a pint at The Bickerton Poacher. It's then back to Bickerton via Bulkerley and Bickerton Hall. This walk is over varied terrain, paths, tracks, fields and country lanes. There's approx. 1350ft of decent over this walk, however, not everyone likes waking downhill, so will try to make sure there some ups and flats as well :-).
