Overview

Start: Oulton Village Hall, Kibblestone Rd, Oulton, Stone ST15 8UJ.

A circular walk of around 10 miles heading towards Old Road and up to Downs Banks, before continuing to Barlaston. From there we join the Trent and Mersey Canal towpath towards Stone, then cut back across fields to return to Oulton.

This is a moderate walk with a few gentle hills. Terrain includes fields, paths and short road sections. Some areas can be muddy, so suitable footwear is recommended. There are several turnstiles, and some fields may have livestock.

There will be a pub stop at The Plume of Feathers where we can also have our packed lunch. After the walk, those wishing to can stop for another drink at The Bushmakers in Oulton. 🍺
