Overview

Binsey is one of Wainwight’s Outlying Fells but, despite its modest height, its location means that the 360 degree views from the summit are quite spectacular  -  North Cumbria, Eastern and Central Fells and Scotland over the Solway coast.

This walk is through woodland, fields and fell on tracks, paths and quiet minor roads. From the start the route is a moderate ascent to the summit of Binsey. Conversely the descent from Binsey and the return loop is a relatively easy downhill walk.
