A beautiful circular route on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds.
We start with a hill climb out of the village, where we cross the A166 and head down Cheese Cake Wold. On a clear day we should see a great view of the Vale of York.
We loop to the right through Painsthorpe with more stunning views of the Wolds valleys. We then head down to Worm Dale and can enjoy the 'Time and Flow' earthwork sculpture. We head back through more dales before crossing back across the A166 and heading up and down Deep Dale.
One final downhill back into Bishop Wilton with more lovely views across the Vale of York.
There are quite a few steep up and downs on this walk but well worth the views (approx. 500m ascent).
