Overview

A chance to sample the full route of the Blackpool Illuminations - one of the world's most famous lights shows. Walking boots not required for this walk.

The walk starts with a daytime walk down the seafront towards Starr Gate, the southern end of the lights. We then pause in a local pub, possibly the Dutton Arms. We resume at 17:00 when the lights are switched on and walk all the way to Bispham, the northern end of the lights.

We then retrace our steps and head for Blackpool North railway station.

Options for a shorter walk:

Join us at Starr Gate tram stop at 17:00, and/or

Leave the night walk when we have seen around 50% of the illuminations, when we pass the end of the road to Blackpool North station for the first time.
